COMPANY HISTORY

Built on Skill.
Driven by Independence

Colorado MEP Construction was born from a simple belief: time is the one thing you never get back—so you should spend it building something that matters.

Founder Tyson Hargis started this company because he was ready to take control—of his schedule, his standards, and his future. With master-level licenses in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, plus a general contractor license, Tyson built Colorado MEP Construction to be the kind of company he’d want to hire: highly competent, straightforward, and capable of handling every trade without the runaround.

Originally operating as Electriplumb, LLC out of Aurora, Colorado, the company quickly grew its reputation across the Denver metro area and beyond. With over 100 permitted projects—spanning residential basement finishes, new townhome construction, commercial tenant improvements, solar installations, and full MEP services—the rebrand to Colorado MEP Construction reflects the full scope of what we do and the standard we hold ourselves to.

Today, we hold active contractor licenses in Denver, Aurora, Fort Collins, Castle Rock, Westminster, Arvada, Parker, Breckenridge, Douglas County, Larimer County, Colorado Springs, Summit County, and more. We’re not slowing down—and we’re not cutting corners.

Core Values

Efficiency First

We respect your time and your budget. Every project is planned and executed to minimize delays, eliminate waste, and deliver results on schedule.

Unmatched Competence

Having one owner who holds every master license isn’t just a talking point—it means there’s no miscommunication between trades, no blame-shifting, and no gaps in knowledge on your job site.

Honest, Fair Pricing

We believe in transparent pricing without the inflated overhead that comes from stacking subcontractors. You get premium work at a fair cost because we’ve built our business to be lean and capable.

Personable Service

Construction can feel overwhelming. We make it simple by being the kind of people you actually want to work with—responsive, clear, and easy to reach.

The People Behind the Work

Tyson Hargis

Founder & Master-Licensed Contractor

Tyson is the driving force behind Colorado MEP Construction. Holding master licenses in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC alongside his general contractor license, Tyson is one of the rare professionals in Colorado who can personally oversee every mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system on a project—plus the construction itself. He founded this company to offer homeowners and commercial clients something their competitors can’t: one highly qualified point of contact for every trade on the job.

Bjorn Olson

HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical Tradesman

Bjorn brings a versatile, multi-trade skill set to every project he touches. Originally a certified HVAC installer and service technician in California, he joined Colorado MEP Construction in January 2023 and immediately expanded his expertise into plumbing and electrical work. His drive to master multiple disciplines quickly earned him a role as one of the company's most dependable multi-trade foremen — capable of leading jobs across all three MEP trades with confidence and precision.

Kevin Kucharski

Master Carpenter, Plumber & Project Manager

Kevin's career in construction spans over two decades, beginning as a carpenter in Florida in the early 2000s where he quickly distinguished himself through exceptional craftsmanship. After relocating to Colorado, he expanded into the plumbing trade and took on project management roles for several construction companies — overseeing successful builds across the state. Kevin joined Colorado MEP Construction in 2022, shortly after the company's founding, bringing a rare combination of hands-on trade knowledge and big-picture project leadership to the team.

Penny Marez

Office Manager & Director of Personnel

Bringing over 15 years of administrative experience to the company, Penny is an integral part of the operations of the business. From scheduling oversight and customer interfacing to compliance with regulatory bodies and jurisdictions, she ensures the daily business runs smoothly and lean. Pulling from her extensive repertoire of business practices, including her more than two years tenure with the Mayor’s Office in the City of Denver, Penny’s clarity and attention to detail ensure an efficient and accurate operational flow of business.
